Host: What if I have no accomplishments for a particular job to put on a resume? Louise Kursmark: Sometimes, that is a challenge. Maybe you took a job and were there for a short period of time, maybe the company didn't do very well, maybe you just didn't perform that well on the job. What you want to avoid is making it look like it was a failure on your resume. You want to also, really think about what you did. Don't be fooled by the fact that the company wasn't successful into thinking that you weren't effective in your job. Maybe you had some awesome obstacles to overcome and you were able to do so. So, maybe the underlining result wasn't that impressive but the story of that struggle and how you achieved what you did can be very impressive. So, you might want to dig really deep to think about what you did and not be fooled by the fact that maybe you hated the job, you didn't like your boss, the company wasn't successful or any other factor. Don't overlook what you did accomplish in that time. It's particularly important that you not make it look on your resume like you had repeated periods of failure on the job. So, impression is really important, the first impression of you as an employee.
