Host: How can I create a career that I can profit from? Sear McArdle: The best way to create a career that you will profit from is to understand that profit does not come from the career, profit comes from savings. Most people want to learn how to earn more money, but they never learn how to save money in the first place. I have always said to people and I continue to say it today, you should learn how to manage the money you earn, so that you can live on 70% of your take home pay and invest the balance wisely, that is the first way.

Now, in order to earn more money in your career and in sales, there are certainly ways to do it. We want to set some specific goals. The first thing I like to do when I go to a company is ask, who earns the most in sales here and how much do they earn? What is the average income here? What is the average number of years that an average earner has been working here? So, then I ask the average earner what would it be worth to you if you could earn as much as the top earner? Would that give you a circumstance that would allow you to become successful financially? If they say yes, then the answer to how do we become successful becomes, do what that person is doing. It is called Behavioral Modeling. We actually create a behavioral model out of the most successful person and then get the average successful person to be more successful by implementing the strategies and techniques of the ultra-successful.
