Isabel L. Kelly, D.D.S. is a general dentist located in McLean, VA. She has her own practice which focuses maintaining a good adult, pediatric and family patient rapport in a cosmetic, aesthetic, and preventive dental setting. A graduate of William and Mary College and Creighton University Medical Center, Dr. Kelly served as a dental associate in various dental offices before opening her own professional practice. Hello, once again I am Dr. Kelly with Kelly Dentistry, and we have been talking about maintaining good oral hygiene. Now, we are going to talk about mouth rinses. There is a variety of mouth rinses, and these mouth rinses are good to fight against any bacteria such as plaque and gingivitis, to prevent gingivitis.
We have this product here that is purely for cosmetic reason, it just hides bad breath. We have this product here that has the ADA seal, and this has proven to be the most effective. It fights against bacteria and it hides bad breath, but it does contain alcohol.
So, theyve come out with this product that has alcohol free in it, and this hasnt been proven that its as effective, but it is supposed to kill germs and fight against plaque and gingivitis, and it also hides bad breath. This lastly has where it helps prevent dry mouth. So, now that we have talked about mouth rinses, lets go ahead and talk about floss.
