Mauro Farinelli: Hi, my name is Mauro Farinelli from the Denim Bar and today I am going to show you how you how to pick out the perfect pair of premium designer jeans. In the course of the video we are going to go over, several key elements of finding back perfect jeans. We will go over the types of jeans, the washes of the jeans, the fit of the jeans and the wash and care of the jeans. Before we can go over the key steps there are a few things you will need to do:Going shopping with an open mind, if you are going with a close mind, you are going to have a negative shopping experience and you are going to hate trying to go Jean shopping. Going in with an open mind will allow you to do a couple of things.

It will allow you to communicate better with the sales rep and give them an idea of what you really want.

Have an understanding that what you want might not necessarily look the best on you but coming you with the open mind will allow you to be open to that, so that shopping for the perfect pair of jeans is easy, short and simple.

Another tool you need before you just start looking for the perfect pair of jeans is denim terminology. You will need to know what the yoke is. The yoke acts as a dart which gives the jean contour, so that it will fit the body properly. If a jean does not have a yoke, it has darts like a trouser which acts as the same instrument. The waistband of the jean is either a single waistband or a double waistband, sometimes known as a contoured waistband that also allows shape, so it snugs the waist firmly.

There is the front rise, the rise from the centered crotch up below the waistband technically. A lot of companies now are adding the waistband in so you know a 7 inch rise and 8 inch rise, etcetera. The back rise starts from the center, all the way up below the waistband or if it is brand that deals with the waistband those measurements will be in. Those are that really the key terms you will need to know because later on we would discussed whiskering, abrasions and things like that, so that you have a full grasp of anything the sales rep might ask you.
