Host: What is the whining trap?

Dr. Rene Hackney: There is a trap for parents when children are really young, when you have got a two year old who starts to whine, parents just get right and they say, Oh, they are asking for things or they are using their words and then later that child who is still whining, you told them for a good year, year and a half that is an okay way to ask. So, you do not want to get into that trap you want to treat the whining, as soon as they start whining when they are two years old as suppose to waiting and letting it become a bigger habit.
