I am Dr. Rene Hackney; I have a Masters in school psychology and a PhD. in developmental psychology. For the last four years, I have own and taught at Parenting Playgroups which is Parent Resource Center. I also trained at children s hospital and for the public schools.

Today we are going to be talking about different types of praise. We are going to cover what is evaluative praise and how it tends to be problematic, we will also talk about descriptive praise and how that tends to work better in the parenting relationship.
