How to Make Whipped Cream

Hi, I am Rob Kingsbury with Kingsbury Chocolates. Today, we are making a chocolate pie. We have just finished the pie shell, the pie filling and now, I am going to make some homemade whipped cream. First of all, we are going to use two cups of heavy cream and pour it right into your mixer, I have a whisk attachment on. I am going to add in two tablespoons of granulated sugar. You can add more if you like it sweeter, but this pie is really, really rich so, it s nice to have something that isn t extremely sweet to pair with it and then I am going to go ahead and add a teaspoon of vanilla. I don t like to measure the vanilla because a little bit more, I think is just fine. So, anyways, I am going to go ahead and turn this on and let it spin around for about four or five minutes until it has a really nice, stiff peaks. Alright, our whipped cream is being beat up for about two minutes now and you can see that it s really coming into a nice form. It will probably take about another minute to have stiff peaks and that will be done. There we go, coming in to play. I think that looks good right there.

Alright, so the whipped cream is ready. It s nice and firm, stiff peaks, so we are done. I am going to take this out and see how nice and stiff that is, nice and firm and we are going to just put this in the fridge until we are ready to use it. This is what it s going to look like. Next, we are going to put our pie together and ready to serve so everybody can enjoy it.
