Host: What is the second attitude of dating?
Gloria MacDonald: Attitude number two is open mindedness. Lots of people have created a list of the things they are looking for in someone, maybe their characteristics, the areas of interest, things like that and those lists are all great and wonderful, but finding a partner is not like walking through the isles of a grocery store and picking the things off the shelf.
So, the successful dater really has an open mind. They might have that list of the things they are looking for, maybe a woman is looking for a man who is six feet tall or taller, but if she can remain open minded and say, This guy who is 5 10 might just be great. Yeah, he is not six feet tall, but just because a man is not six feet tall does not mean they are dishonest of slimy or not intelligent or any of those things. So, while you have your list, be open minded and be willing to meet a variety of people and the more open minded you are and the more you are willing to meet a variety of people, the more success you will have.
