Host: What is the fifth attitude of dating?
Gloria MacDonald: Attitude number five is about enjoyment and celebration. So, no matter what, enjoy the process. Do not think of it as arduous and grueling. You are out there meeting new and interesting people, so every time you meet someone new, look for something that is interesting, that is intriguing. Maybe you did not meet the man or woman of your dreams, but look for the things that you can enjoy and count each date as a success, even if this is not your prince charming.
So, professional athletes spend hours and hours and hours programming their brain, their mind for success. So, think about Tiger Woods, the greatest golfer in the world. Tiger hits horrible shots, you do not normally see them on TV, but he hits horrible shots and he does not say, Oh, forget it. I am never going to golf again. I hit a bad shot. He has lost far more tournaments than he has won, but he is still out there. He does not get a hole in one in every Par-three and yet when we are dating, we have such high expectations and we think that everything is a failure. Well, start celebrating the successes. Program your mind for success and when you do, you will start experiencing success. So, even if the person you just met was not the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with, celebrate the success because you have one fewer people to meet on that road to finding your perfect partner.
