Host: What is the sixth attitude of dating?
Gloria MacDonald: Attitude number six is patience. Sometimes, this is a process, sometimes it happens very quickly and you just meet one or two people and you found your life partner, but sometimes it is a process. Sometimes, you have to meet a lot of people and just remain patient and know that throughout the process, things are happening.
The Chinese bamboo tree has to be watered every single day for five years and you see no results and then after about five years, in ninety days the Chinese bamboo tree grows over 60 feet tall. So, you could easily say during that whole five year period, Oh, nothing is happening. This tree is never going to grow and stop watering it. So, the question is did the Chinese bamboo tree grow 60 feet in ninety days or did it really take five years for that Chinese bamboo tree to grow.
Even though you could not see the results, but it is always the roots that create the fruits and we just do not know what is going on in the whole dating process for us. We are growing, we are learning and so, have patience with yourself as you are going through the process. Allow yourself to grow and learn through all your experiences and know that just like the Chinese bamboo tree, those roots are someday going to create incredible fruits.
