Gloria MacDonald: It s really important to think about what you are going to wear when you go out to meet this man for the first time or the second or third or fourth time. If you have any kind of sweat pants, sweat suits in the closet, do not bring those out at all. I know that sounds funny, but believe it or not, some people think, Oh this is casual. It is just getting together on a Saturday for a cup of coffee and that is never going to do you any good.

Again, we highly recommend that if you have not had a bit of a makeover in your closet recently, hire an image consultant, it really does not cost that much. It is important to look fresh and up-to-date. Again, being up with the styles, makes you look more youthful. We are not expecting a 55 year old woman to look like a 25 year old that is not what men are looking for, but for your age, no matter what your age is, you want to look the best you can look.

So, an image consultant can help you understand what style, what shape, what jacket length, what skirt length is going to do the most for you and your body type. As women, we are pretty self conscious about our bodies and our extra curves here and there. So, we tend to wear a lot of layers to hide things and that does not help us at all in the eyes of a man. Do not forget a man is looking for femininity, he is looking for that hourglass figure, it is fascinating that a man will equate again on a subconscious level, a woman s body shape to who they are as a person. So, you might have a few extra pounds, but still think about what you can do even giving your few extra pounds to show that you have a feminine shape and do not try to just cover everything up because that is going to just confuse the man. So, take advantage of your feminine figure and show it off to the best you possibly can and make sure that you are showing some waist and do not just try to cover up with layers and layers and layers. So, again hire an image consultant if you need to bring a friend in and get a friend to be honest with you and say, You know, that does not work for you, that is making you look older and think about the styles of today and be the best you can be at your age.
