Hi, my name is Kia Johnson. I run Cadillac Skateboards in Washington D.

C. Today, I am here at Palace 5ive skate shop and I am going to show you how to set up a skateboard from scratch.

Today, we are going to show you everything from how to choose a deck to the trucks, the wheels, accessories, how to put them altogether. We are going to show you how to apply grip tape. We are going to show you how to attach your hardware. We are going to show you how to put the bearings in the wheels. We are going to go over some safety precautions and we are going to put together a nice, finely finished skateboard. You are not going to need too much to get started today. The first thing you want to do is head down to your local skate shop. Once you get there, the only tools you are going to need are a wrench, a skate tool, a screwdriver and a razor blade.

A quick word on safety for the kids out there, we are going to be using a razor blade today, so make sure you get your parents guidance or supervision while we do that.

Before we get started, I will go into a little bit about myself. My name again, is Kia Johnson. I run Cadillac Skateboards at Washington D.

C. I also do 48blocks.

com and also I am the senior writer for Focus Skateboarding Magazine.

Well, let s get started. Check in a deckout.
