Host: What is a nanny?

Jaclyn Gobuluk: A nanny is a child care provider that not only cares for your child in a home environment -- in your home environment but also it can do other things outside of just child care. There is a lot of child care related items that nannies will do, that includes child s laundry, child s room making sure it's picked up, organized, put things away or the nanny will also make meals for the child, take children to activities whenever necessary, that could be a play date or the local soccer match, it just depends. Nannies also can work for more than two years. A lot of people confuse Au Pairs and baby sitters with nannies. But nanny is by far much different than both of those. They can work between one to ten years. They can do extra activities for the family like mentioned before and there is something that s going to become a part of the family. They are going to be another family member, somewhat like a mother or father.
