How do I narrow down the pool of applicants?
Host: How do I narrow down the pool of applicants?
Jaclyn Gobuluk: One of the best ways to narrow down the pool of applicants is to have each applicant fill out an application. An application that you put together wanting to know what their availability is, what extra activities they are willing to provide, experiences in the past to other jobs that they have had, childcare, interests, what their hobbies are to see if that matches up with your criteria. The criteria that you worked on in the beginning to see what your needs were, as far as hours, days, driving if necessary, languages spoken and things like that and by going through those applications you are going to be able narrow down which candidates meets your criteria and then which candidates exceed your criteria or which ones that do not meet your criteria.
