Cousin: A person needs help to quit drinking because quitting drinking is typically a difficult thing to do and that is because there are physiological effects to drinking and there are social effects to drinking and there are psychological effects to drinking. So, when a person is considering quitting drinking, they need support, and directions and information and education and a plan to quit drinking.
