Host: How can a person quit drinking during a holiday like Christmas or New Years?

Judith W. Cousins: When a holiday comes up either a birthday or a family holiday or a holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas or New Year, Christmas and New Years are very difficult holidays for people who have decided to stop drinking and what can help, how a person can do that is to make sure that they are not isolated, that they are with friends who support they are not drinking, by attending a support group and doing that regularly and on a day-to-day basis to give themselves credit for that day when they don t drink.
