Hi, I am Lindsey Lampert with Northern Virginia Volleyball Association and today I am teaching you how to play volleyball. Right now, I am going to teach you how to set. In order to set, your feet are going to be shoulder width apart and your knees are going to be slightly bent. Your hands and arms are going to be broad above to your forehead. When you are setting, all your fingers should hit the ball. So, your hands are going to be in a cup s position with all your fingers touching the ball and then you are going to release. Your hand is going to go from the C position to an L position when you release. Notice the follow through, when you are setting it is important to follow through to where you want the ball to go. Right now, Lindsey and Nicole are going to demonstrate setting back and forth. Notice, where they contact the ball, it is always above their forehead, they never contact it low. They always follow through high, set it always nice and high. Now, I am going to teach you how to hit.
