Hello, my name is Patsieann Misiti. I am with the Alexandria Fire Department is Alexandria, Virginia. Our department was founded in 1774 and today we have more than 300 employees and also a Volunteer Department. Together, our mission is to serve the citizens, businesses and visitors to the city of Alexandria.

We are talking to you today about home heating safety and other basic fire safety tips around the home. We will cover everything from portable space heaters to installing smoke alarms. So, stay tuned and remember in an emergency call 911.
