Hi I'm Lawrence, I was born in Virginia in 1961. Since I was 8 years old I wanted to be an entertianer. But instead I joined the AIR Force in the 80's. I was stationed in England, that is were I started to learn the art of magic. I say "started to learn", is that I am still learning. With magic you are always learning. I think that is why I love performing so much, I'm being challenged everyday. I perform in many different venues, like private parties, corperate events, concerts and restaurants. I am a member of The Society of American Magicians and a member of The Magic Castle in Hollywood CA.

Lawrence Cummings: Hi, I am Lawrence Cummings and I am a professional magician with Magic Up Close. Today, I am going to show you how to perform, simple magic tricks. This trick is called The World s Fastest Card Trick. If I can have somebody pick a card, any card, since we do not have anybody here today, what we will do -- I want you to take a look at a card, remember it. I am going to put it right here on the table for a second. Now, just remember the card, thank you very much. Now, put it back into the card, into the deck of cards like so.

Now, this is The World s Fastest Card Trick, watch, it is The World s Fastest Card Trick, do not blink, you might miss it. Is that your card? It is, great, now, here is the secret, to this trick. When you start the trick, before you start the trick, you are going to turn one card over on the bottom, leaving all the other cards like the same. So, you are going to start like this, ask somebody to pick a card, try not to show the last card. It does not really matter; nobody picks the last card anyway. When they pick a card and also again, it does not matter what card they pick, because you do not know what card they are picking, because you are going to have to show everybody.

At the same time, what you are going to do, you are going to put your hand down to your side and let everybody look at that card. You bring your cards back up, while you re doing that, you are going to just turn your hand over. So now, all the cards are facing up, except for this one card, but your audience thinks that is the top of the deck. Ask them to put it in the middle, slide it in, now, what I do, with little practice you can do it too, I show everybody, I usually have people all around me. This is The World s Fastest Card Trick, when I am going to do, I am going to do it slow motion, so you can see what I am doing.

I am pushing off that card, the top card and just tilt, pivoting the cards back over it to slide it through wheeler like this. So, again, this isn t real time, I am going to show it real time and their card is the only one facing up. So, that is The World s Fastest Card Trick. Next, is The Three Rope Mystery.
