Sarah Mejac: I am Sarah Mejac. I am a long time associate of the Barker Foundation, starting with placing my daughter in 1982 when I was 18-years-old. For last 15 years I have been a Barker volunteer and done a lot of community outreach and advocating for birthparents. I am also a member of the Barker Board of Trustees and that has been the focus of much of my work with Barker recently and in addition to working with birthparent issues, there are other adoption issues that are very dear to my heart, which I ll describe later. Today, we re going to talk about issues affecting birth parents during the process of adoption.
