Hi my name Dale Roberts with the Java Shack in Arlington, Virginia. Today I am going be showing you how to brew some coffee beverages. I am going to start with pouring this perfect shot of Espresso. If you have a Espresso machine at home, you will use the basic same principal that I am using today which is a fine ground Espresso or coffee and you are going to start taking your filter out of your Espresso machine, this is a commercial one, your one at home is very similar just on a smaller scale. You will to have ground your coffee to a fine grind; you are going to tamp it to about 50 pounds of pressure, just a little practice there. Insert your filter into the machine, extraction is about 25 seconds and you should see a nice even flow to the Espresso like you are seeing right here, a light brown 1:00 formed on the top of this Espresso, like I said it takes about 25 seconds to pour the perfect shot and it will shut off or you can shut off manually at 25 seconds, there you go and once it is done you should have a nice creamy brown coffee layer on top like this and that is the perfect shot of the Espresso.
