Hi, my name is Dale Roberts; I am with the Java Shack in Arlington, Virginia. Today I am going to be showing you how to do Fresh Brewed Coffee. First starting with fresh beans, we are going to grind them, make sure that you grind only as much as you are going to use for that day preferably, if you have to grind them in advance, make sure you are going use them within a week, maximum two weeks. Set the grinding on the type of brewer that you have, we are using a paper filter. Always ensure that you use fresh ground coffee, ground for the type of brewing method that you are going to use, whether it is drip, percolator or any other method of brewing that you use, make sure that is ground for that type of brewer. When using a brewer, the perfect temperature of brewing coffee is 190 degrees. At the coffee shop here, we use paper filters, but you are at home brewing, you can use a paper filter. Best use is a gold plated filter, helps you to retain all the flavors of the coffee, the oils stay in the coffee, measure the amount of coffee that you are going to be brewing, it is recommended two table spoons per six ounce cup of coffee. Insert the brew basket into your Brewer. We are going to brew into our air pot, at home you will be brewing into your flask. Our brew time is four minutes and ten seconds; once it is done we will put the lit back on. When it is finished brewing, simply put hump back into your 2:01 put the lid on. Sit back and enjoy your coffee. Now, I will show you how to make a Mint Mocha.
