Dr. Neil King: Hi! I am Dr. Neil King, Founder of King Chiropractic, with offices in Gaithersburg, Potomac, Urbana, Maryland. For over 23 years, the doctors have worked with me and I have been working to rehabilitate athlete and people with injuries and also to optimize their performance. This is what we want to do in this exciting video today and how to develop a dynamic and ultimate golf conditioning program. We are going to be going over some exercises with you. These exercises are not only going to help your game, they are going to help you life. You are going to be moving better, standing better, and feeling better by the time we get done today. What are we going to do exactly? We are going to work with you on developing more of a full shoulder turn for your swing. I know you ve taken lots of golf lessons and there is lots of great golf videos out there, but in this video we are going to give you the exercises that you need in order to develop that turn that is beautiful and also develops powers. We are going to free up the neck, we are going to give you things to do, so you will be able to relax your neck as you work on this more powerful swing. We are going to develop your core, by core I mean, we are going to give you stability front to back and also side to side, so you can stabilize your lower body with this more full and complete upper body.
Also, we are going to be working with you on stabilizing the feet and how to find a good natural posture for you to be relaxed and to be able to play golf as many holes as you want, without getting injured and that s what I want you to focus on today. What kind of equipment do we need? It's very straightforward. You can go to a beautiful gym like this one we are at, Philbin s in Gaithersburg, Maryland, but I will tell you one thing, for this video you are going to need a gold club, you are going to need some light weights, you will need a small mat because we are going to be doing some balancing exercises.
So just remember, the things that we are going to be focusing on are going to be developing the smooth long swing with stability through the exercises that we do. I do want to take a brief moment to talk to you about safety. Some of the things we are going to be doing are going be difficult. I want you to be sure that you are in a clear open area; if you happen to stumble or fall you don t fall onto anything. If you have any spinal issues, if you have any problems with your back, or your neck, or your shoulder, start slowly and maybe see a doctor in your area, before you start on these exercises, because I don t want you to get hurt when you are doing them, but I want you to have the great results that I know you can have. So, let's get started on dynamic exercises for ultimate golf conditioning and how to do that.
