Host: Is there a deadline to apply for financial aid or submit my FAFSA?

Brad Barnett: There is a deadline for submitting the FAFSA that s one is established by the federal government, but that s well into the school year. The most important you want to look at are the priority filing date. Every college is going to establish its own priority filing date on when they want you to complete the FAFSA. Some will be in February, some will be in March, some may be in April, some may not have any at all, but most schools are using some priority filing date. You want to make sure you meet that filing date no matter what, because at times it can increase your financial aid eligibility.
