Host: Are there ways I can prevent a cold?
Ronald Turner: Well, the best way you can prevent a cold is by maintaining good hand washing and eliminating contact with the virus. So, avoiding contact with infected children if you can do that will minimize your risk of getting a cold. Keeping good hand washing or using either soap and water or the hand sanitizers to kill virus on your hands before you can inoculate yourself and acquire the cold will help prevent colds, but that is that all you can do.
