Host: What are some ways I can get more exercise?

Jeannette Bessinger: Typically with exercise, we tend to get into a rut, it is very easy to do. We find something we like and try to do that everyday and within a few weeks or few months we are really burned out.

So, one of the first keys is to increase your variety. Try different forms of exercise. Don t go to the gym five days a week unless you really, really love the gym. In the warmer months, if you live in an area where you can get outside, get outside. You can vary it with walking, even changing the pace of your walking, you might be comfortable jogging, you might be comfortable roller skating.

Another way to get exercising is to just to think about increasing your movement. How can I add more movement to my day, maybe I can park my car farther away from the supermarket, when I go in. When I am talking my bags into the house can I lift them up and down instead of just carrying them possibly?

Anyway you can sneak some time and can I take the stairs as opposed to ride in the elevator. So, you don t have sit down, you don t have to go the gym for an hour to get a good a workout. You can work your body for ten minutes at a time and if you can do that three or four times a day you are doing great.
