Host: How do I get my mind to relax?

Jeannette Bessinger: Getting your mind to relax is sometimes harder than getting your body to relax. One of the best things that you can do is take your point of focus away from your mind and bring it your body. So, it's actually the same answer in a way. When you feel your mind going and going and going and it won t let go, take your attention and bring it to your breathing. Notice your breathing, spend a couple of moments, tune to your breathing, and some times that will begin to, soften or loosen the hold of those intense thoughts.

Another technique that people like to use is a visualization, where they hold an image of something in their mind. Another technique is to have a particular thought or positive, a word or particular thought that you repeat over and over again in your mind to crowd out those busy thoughts, that will help your mind to calm down and let go.
