My name is Nancy McBride. I work for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and today, we are going to talking about Halloween safety. How it can still be a fun time and how you can help keep your kids safer. It is the one time of the year when your kids are out and about, they are on the streets at night and they are taking candy from people that they may not know very well. So, what can we do to make sure that that stays a safer event for them? Before we get into that, think of some of the safety messages that you learned as a child. Are they still effective in this day and age? I am going to give you tools and resources to help you help your kids stay safer. I have been with the National Center since 1990 and I have worked in this field for over 20 years. I have a written a number of publications and articles on the issue of child safety including one about Halloween safety. So, let us get started talking about how we can make this a fun and safe event.
