Host: What should children do if someone frightens them or makes them uncomfortable?

Nancy McBride: If someone scares a child or makes the child uncomfortable even though this is a night for tricks-or-treats, the child should tell a trusted adult or tell whomever they are with, their parent or guardian and let them know because this is not a situation where we are trying to scare children to death. We just want them to have a good time. So, if somebody is acting in a way that appears to be inappropriate then the adult in-charge needs to take some action and do something about that. This is also a situation in which children can be observant, if they observe somebody who is driving around and seems to be following kids around, take note of that and let a trusted adult know about that person, so that they can be aware should that person continue that behavior.
