Host: What are some of the potential hazards and risks for children on the internet?

Nancy McBride: I think, when we are talking about the internet, we have to realize that people are not always who they say they are online, and there are hazards and risk for kids because kids tend to be open. They think if they have spoken to somebody online, they have chatted with them, they have e-mailed with that person then they know that person and that person is a friend. When in reality that person maybe somebody totally different. So, we have got to teach our kids to be aware of that and realize, just because somebody says they are somebody or says something does not mean that it is necessarily true.
