Host: How many people smoke?
Eletta Hansen: About 22% of the U.S. population smoke, that is about 40 million people. Our goal as a nation is to have 12% or less smoke by the year 2010, we are doing well, we are not where we would like to be, but if you can compare the 22% that smoke today to the 50% that smoked in 1960 we are making progress with your help.
