Eletta Hansen: The effect of caffeine and alcohol may actually be increased when you quit smoking. So, it is advisable to reduce your intake. You have to also remember that alcohol and coffee may be triggers for smoking, many people have associated smoking with drinking of the alcohol or coffee. So again, you need to be vigilant and thinking about breaking those habits and associations when you quit smoking.
