Andy Segal: Hi, I am Andy Segal, and this is our third jump shot in the video series. This one is called the Leap Frog shot but before we get into that let me explain a little about what we are going to use. We have our two new cue sticks this time, we have a smaller jump cue and we have also a larger cue from Texas called as stealth, the reason why it is called a stealth, well, because it s hard to see, I don t think so. Any way that s just a prop cue, this jump cue is shorter and lighter and when you use it, it helps to get the ball to jump into the air quicker. Let me explain that first before we get into this shot. I have the cue ball and the 13-ball, I am going to just try and jump the cue ball right over the 13. So I elevate it like this and jump and hit the cue ball right in the center. Now, I don t mean the center here as your level, I mean the center as you are coming down into it which will be up here, so you are actually shooting right about where that red dot is.

And it jumps right over. The reason why it does it is, because the cue stick is shorter and lighter and it gets out of the way sooner. Now for the trick shot, this is called the Leap Frog shot. It s the same version of what I just said, just on a grander scale. I am going to jump the 5-ball over the 6,7,8,9 into the corner. Then I am going to jump the 6 over the 7,8,9 into the corner then the 7 then the 8 and then finally I am going to shoot the 9 straight in with big cue, that s called the big finale, you are ready, here we go.

You have to make sure, you chalked up. Here, you get good workout, playing pool. Don t forget, we got one more jump shot and I know you are going to like it. So make sure you check it out.

2007 World Trick Shot Champion

I have been playing pool since 1983. I started performing trick shots in college, back in the late 80's, but I have been competing in trick shot competitions since October of 2002. I was invited to ESPN's Trick Shot Magic for the first time in October of 2003, when a good friend of mine Bogdan Wolkowski from Poland dropped out at the last minute due to an arm injury. Once I started competing in the trick More »
