Host: What's more important, being right or being decisive?
Gary Ryan Blair: In life, you are going to have a couple of different choices. Some people are going to suffer from a perfectionist mentality and they are going to be, want to be right, but if you weigh that against being decisive which you have got to realize very simply, is it is more important for you to be decisive than it is to be correct for this reason.
You will never know if a decision is correct and if it is perfect, until you make it. So, there is always going to be an element of doubt, what you do is, you have to do as much research, do as much planning is possible and then ultimately, you have got to make a decision. Which you will find as soon as you start to take action, you will get feedback and you will get feedback almost instantaneously, if it was the right action, right decision or not and then you just make corrective action.
A very good way of making a comparison is looking at your computer, next time you fire it up and you'll notice, especially if you have windows, a little bubble that pops every couple of days and it probably says you have updates. Well, this is the classic case of political spin and the way it works and this is a very good way with which to -- to put this is in your mind to organizers, is the entire technology industry is driven by four words, implement now, perfect later.
You have to get to a certain point in time, where you have invested millions of dollars in this product, we have to get it in the market place and then based on feedback, based on failures, based on just customer complaints sometimes, what we will do is we will create a patch, we will find a way with which we will be able to repair that. Well, life is very much the same way, we have to get to a certain point in time, where we have to implement, where we have to make that decision and get in the game and then you make corrective action as you are through, there is no other way.
