When Gary speaks and writes, he does so from the heart, with warmth and humor. His unique gift is to speak to an audience and communicate with the heart of each person as if they were alone having an important, intimate conversation. A polished storyteller, he has a way of making the seemingly complex, easy to understand.

Host: What is the fifth commandment of goal setting?

Gary Ryan Blair: The fifth commandment is thou shall plan thoroughly and the best way to look at planning is five P's, Proper planning prevents poor performance. If you look at your life, on a grand scale, what you will realize is that we are always in a constant stage of preparation and some are conscious of it, most are not.

What planning does, it puts you in a situation, where you start to think through the risk, the cost, the investments, the sacrifices. We don't get caught with any surprises and the only -- the only way to do that, is through respecting the fine art of planning.

So, you really need to think through on paper and get a clear, clear idea as to where you are going, what the potential obstacles are and the best way for you to execute your plan and it will save you 10 to 1 in execution, every single time.
