Gary Ryan Blair: Hi there, my name is Gary Ryan Blair, I am with The Goals Guy. Well, our goal is simply to help you, achieve yours. In todays lesson we are going to talked about the power of focus, specifically what it is, we define and explain to you how do you get focused, how you stay focused, how do you regain it.
We are talking about the empowerment and its relationship to focus. The connection between the choices and options. What happens when you try to ,multi-task. The importance truly of finding one line of sight, and there are numerous of the benefits that we will go through from the beginning to end. Now, before you do that, I am going to just tell you little bit of about myself, about the company, the back around and why you probably want to listen more closely. As I mentioned, the name of the company is The Goal Guys. What I do, is I focus in on businesses and individuals and help them to achieve their goals by providing with goal settings methodologies and a whole a series of strategic planning tools and resources. Today, we are doing work with more than 60% of the Fortune 500, with a number of professionals, sports teams, politicians, and athletes, entertainers, that we work with and I work with personally. Numbers of books that are in the market place at this point in time exceed more than four millions copies worldwide. This is a subject, I know quite well. I think you are going to find a tremendous amount of insightful information you could apply immediately to get results from.

I really enjoyed this series and found quite a few useful tips in it. However, I think it's important to recognize the downsides and dangers of a strong focus. Zigmund Bauman argues in Modernity and the Holocaust that a society with too much role specialization can lead to terrible things. According to Bauman the fact that such a large number of people all made small contributions to the Holocaust enabled it to take place. The Holocaust is an extreme example, I'll admit.
