Ed Bales: Hi, my name is Ed Bales, I am Managing Director of Federal Prison Consultants, LLC. I have a staff of Correction of Consultants, Criminal Justice Consultants and Paralegals who assist people who are going to prison or who are in prison and both the Federal and the State Arena . We are going to answer some questions today about the prison system and some related questions in the text up. Host: What is the difference between prison and jail?

Ed Bales: Well jail, sometimes these terms are used together or separate but jail is usually referred to a county within a State, prison can be referred to as either a local State prison system or the Federal system.
