Host: What types of security levels are there and how is it assigned?

Ed Bales: Security is assigned basically by the individual's crime and length of time and other factors known as public safety factors. The levels start at a minimal security level which can be referred to as a camp. They go up to a low security, medium security, high security and then the maximum security. Some institutions have mid-level combination of a low medium. That's how they are assigned, usually by violence, length of sentence. Sexual crimes those are all categorized differently and usually they are on a higher level.
