Host: How is the food in prison?

Ed Bales: Food in prison is usually pretty bland. It's usually like going to a horrible restaurant. However, there are sections that you may find appetizing like the salad bar. If you are at the federal system you have much better food than you do in a state system. But you will find that there are certain parts that you will like, certain parts that you won't like. You will access to commissary, you will be able to buy your own food. Many places, you will have access to Microwave Owens. You will find that most cases it's a hit or miss, usually. You may have a good meal one day and a bad meal the next day and it's just the luck of the draw.
