Hi, my name is Tracy Bell, and I have been working here at Modern Day Spa in McLean, Virginia for about a year now. I graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute, Northwest Washington D.C. in 2004, and I have been massaging ever since. Now, before we get started showing you how to do a full Swedish body massage on friends or family, there are few precautions that you need to understand before getting started. First of all, we don't massage women who are pregnant in their first trimester, always receive doctor's note before you decide to do massage on someone who is pregnant. Also, if your friend or family has high blood pressure, diabetes, or any circulatory problems, you're going to want to check and get a doctor's permission first before giving a massage. Before we get started there are a few things that you're going to need. First you're going to need some massage oil. Nut base massage oil are not good for those who are allergic to any types of nuts, so you can probably use something like the jojoba oil or grape seed oil. Now, also, if you want to increase your clients, your friends comfortability, then you can use a bolster underneath the bottoms of their ankles to take some of the pressure off of the lower back. So, once you have your oil and your bolster, that's all you're going to need for a home massage, now let's get started.
