Hi, my name is Jennifer Rutherford. I am a singing teacher from Bethesda, Maryland where I teach at the International School of Music on River road. I also have a studio in my own home. I am from Canada originally where I have a master of music degree from the University of Alberta and I have been teaching singing since 1981. I have also sung in very many productions from oratorial, opera, jingle singing, musicals and now I do a one woman show, Broadway style. I am here today to help people who might want to do an audition for show such as American Idol but you could also be auditioning for any other kind of musical show and I am here to give you a few pointers. We are going to do some demonstrations on what to sing, how to present yourself, what to wear, what not to fear and we are going to have some time to answer some questions. So, let us get started.
