Hi, Im Lisa Wilson, Im a Certified Health Counselor in Northern Virginia. I help busy families make healthy living in natural part of their lives. Im the Founder of Nourished LLC. I offer a six-month program, I also teach cooking classes, I work in the home, and even in the classroom with children and families, educating them about healthy living.
Today, Im going to show you how to make some simple, fun finger food for kids. These foods are simple, nutritious, theyre really useful when youre planning the perfect play date for your children, and the great thing is the moms love them too. So, the tools you will need today include a mixer, a measuring cup for liquids, a couple of bowls. We are going to put some eggs in these and just beat them around with the fork. You will need some measuring cups, some measuring spoons, a food processor, a bread pan, cooling rack, and finally a baking sheet, just one baking sheet. I just want to mention this about your equipment. I happened to have a fantastic mixer, if you dont, if you just have a hand mixer, thats okay, dont let that stop you from getting started. Also, this food processor, you dont have to have the best food processor, I certainly dont. I dont even have a top to mine anymore, I would really like a new one, but in the meantime this is going to work great for me. If you dont even have one of these, a blender will work just well for you too.
So, my kids are in the kitchen cooking with me all the time, just make sure that kitchen safety is a top priority. In fact, I think if you get kids in the kitchen, it kind of gets them interested in cooking and makes them want to taste the food a little more. So, lets get started on those tasty treats.
