Host: How can I control the direction of my prayer?
Rev. Joseph McCloskey: How can I control the direction of my prayer? If I was to be totally pushing God around I would be controlling the direction of my prayer. But if my prayer is opening my heart to what God wants me to do then God is actually controlling the direction of my prayers. But prayers function in life as really to establish a contact point. The electricity, once that contact point is made is the joy and the happiness of your heart knowing that you have made contact with the one person that is the very reason that you are alive. One of the things that kid learn right at the beginning of their life in class and school is why they were created and they were created to praise, reverence and serve the Lord our God with all our heart, our mind our feelings and with all the strength and the energy that we can possibly get flowing, so that in the richness of fulfilling the reason of your creation, you have made the very reality of your prayer, your life before God.
