Lisa Wilson: Hi, I am Lisa Wilson; Certified Health Counselor in Northern Virginia and we are working on fun finger food for kids. We are almost ready for our finger food party and we are working on the dessert. This is my answer to those sugary pops because you dont really want to have your kids to have. So, what Ive done is take some crushed ice and this will work in a blender too if you dont have a food processor, I have already done that step, really easy. Then you go ahead and take a cup. I am going to take a really pretty cup and my ice-cream scoop and it is a hot day here in Northern Virginia. Let me tell you, this is a special treat on a hot day. My kids have been at the park, all morning and they are ready for some lemon ice. So, here is what it looks like. Here you have your couple of lemon ice, really easy, lemon juice; pure lemon juice. We just took this lemon juicer just like this, lemons right in, pure lemon juice, okay and then maple syrup, again top quality maple syrup. This one comes from the farm. I am going to go ahead and add that right in, two ingredients thats it. Then we stir it up, heres the lemon juice. I put about 50% maple syrup, 50% lemon juice, three quarters cup each I think, that was what I started with. Then you are just going to taste it. If it needs more lemon juice, well add a little more lemon juice, if it needs more syrup, a little more syrup. So, you know what, this is a little bit bitter that have to be the way I like it now if you like it a little more sweet, go ahead and put a little more syrup but on a hot day, I just love the bite of that lemon. So, we are ready, heres what you do next. Go ahead and just drizzle it over the top, I am going to taste it before the kids get up here. They are patiently waiting downstairs in the playroom. Here we go, grabbing the spoon. Oh yeah, you have no idea. After all this cooking weve been doing in this hot kitchen, this is delicious on a hot day. So, lets get the kids up here and lets have some fun on their play day.
