Host: When should I request a meeting with my child's teacher? Lee Dorman: You should absolutely request a meeting with your child's teachers if you are having difficulty at home understanding what's going on in the teacher's classroom. You should also definitely ask for a conference if you find that your child is unhappy or confused or doesn't know what's going on in the classroom. You should also ask for a conference if you're not satisfied with the grade that your child receives from that teacher.
