Salina Gill: I am Salina Gill of Style DC, LOC. I am a professional image consultant and a personal shopper. Today's video series is about how to buy the perfect gift? Today, we will talk about the initial steps in buying a perfect gift, buying for women, buying for men, buying for special events and special occasions, buying for frequent travelers, buy a thank you gift, rules for re-gifting and presentation tips and universal buying tips.
What you need is a pen and paper, an open mind, some creativity and access to internet, which you already have because you are watching me. One safety tip -- do not overspend; do not go bankrupt looking for a gift or shopping for a gift. Stay within your budget and stay within your limits.
Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. As I said earlier, I am a professional image consultant and a personal shopper. I own my own professional image consultant firm, Style DC, based in the Washington, DC metro area. At Style DC, I work with clients, executive and private, to help them improve their image, their personal shopping, image consulting, wardrobe styling, closet audits and also do some lifestyle consulting. I am a mother too and also a wife, so I know a little bit about budgeting my shopping. Especially, since I do a lot of personal shopping for my own clients, I spend a lot of time in stores, online and with clients to find out their needs and wants for themselves and for their gift recipients. So, with all that said, let's get started.
