Host: What supplies are recommended in a pet emergency kit for other pets?

Lesa Miller: Other pets will have special needs depending on the species and certainly if you have got parrots, rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs and other rodents hamsters and gerbils, even mice and pet rats may need to be housed, then we can accommodate that, but you will want to bring their litter pans, litter boxes and litter, things to chew on like wicker and cardboard for the rabbits. Exercise wheels so those rodents that like to, need to move around and burn some energy. Food and water and proper bedding and the cage, the aquarium that they are living in, they will have to have something to keep them secure.

With reptiles and amphibians, some people have exotics and we may need to accommodate them as well, in which case they need proper food and water and container that they come in, but they will also need heat lamps and heat lights, because they are cold blooded animals.
