Host: Are classes available for people to learn how to prepare for their pets in emergency situations?

Lesa Miller: Yes, there are actually, The American Humane Association, Humane Society of the United States and again, United Animal Nations; they frequently offer seminars and training courses on what to do. I have attended a couple of them myself from HSUS to animal disaster response and the American Humane Association. They both put on really great training sessions for people who want to sign up and learn more and learn how they can help in a real disaster response.
