    Thank you so much for video. I made it for my 6 month old English Cocker Spaniel and he loves it. I have been struggling to find something he will eat and tonight he ate every morsel I served up. It's a winner!

Krista Heinz: Hi! My name is Krista Heinz and I am the owner of Doggie Style Bakery, Boutique and Pet Spa in Dupont Circle. Today, we are taking about how to make your own dog food. We have got it actually already made here in a pot. We have let it cool. You have always want to let the food cool before you feed it to your dog. You want to make sure that it is not too hot. We are just going to scoop it into a bowl here. You want to add about a cup for 30 pounds of weight of your dog and you will feed that twice a day. The next thing we will add, we talked about this earlier, it's a Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil. You can also add flaxseed oil, grapeseed oil, any type of vegetable oil or of good quality fish oil. What's you are looking for is the Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids that come out of these oils. So, we are going to add about a half a teaspoon and I am just going to go ahead and just squirt it in here from this bottle and we will mix that up with your dog's food. Your dog is probably really going to like this oil. So, it's something that's going to add flavor to your dog's food and make it a little bit more palatable, not that it needs to be a whole lot more palatable because you did make it yourself. So, that's about it. There are few foods, which you want to avoid when you are making your dogs food. These are chocolate, onions, garlic in large quantities, Macedonian nuts, mushrooms, and raw eggs. Cooked eggs are just fine for your dog. So, this is the food that we are going to feed to our dog today and I hope you guys had a great time making the food and I hope that your dog has a great time eating it.
