Host: What are some ways to have a unique Valentine's Day?

Gloria McDonald: There are lots of different ways you can have a unique Valentine's Day, we tend to associate candlelight, champagne, chocolate, roses, romance, romantic music, all those things the Valentine's Day; but, let us say your husband happens to be a sports fanatic, well you know what, go out and buy them tickets to a football game or a basketball game or a hockey game or something like that and just do something that is fun, that is not necessarily romantic with all the things that are traditionally associated with romance or do something where you are leading up to Valentine's Day because Valentine's Day is on the 14th of February. Maybe you do little things for fourteen days, so something on the 1st, something on the 2nd, something on the 3rd. So it takes some of the pressure off that big day and it shows that you have thought about it and you just have little surprises each day, does not have to be anything big, maybe just a voicemail message to your spouse in the morning, your significant other in the morning at their work office, at their work number to let them know that they are great or something like that.

Have an un-chocolate night, chocolate is the big thing and so do something that is un-chocolate and create a theme around un-chocolate or so often you go out to restaurants on Valentine's Day and they are packed. If you have been in a relationship for a long time or say you have been married for years and years, maybe you have a party, have a party with a group of friends that are all couples and mix it up that way and have everybody bring something, have a potluck to still celebrate, but do something a little bit different because you can still have fun and it does not all have to be candles and chocolates and red roses.
